Blessence to host the official pre-UK Black Pride party

The award winning UK Black Pride festival – Europe’s biggest celebration of African, Asian,Caribbean and Arab LGBT people – is just days away and the partying set to start early.

Blessence will host UK Black Pride’s official pre-event party on Saturday 11 August 2012.

The night is set to be a 70′s and 80′s fancy dress party when you can let your Afro’ hair down and get you into the mood for UK Black Pride 2012!

DJs on the night:

DJs Eddie, Biggy C, Sensi and Majestik Lady will be playing the best in 70s & 80s reggae, soul and pop classics from Bob Marley to Blondie!

Anything is set to go (well, almost anything!) as Blessence takes you back – waaaay back – to enjoy a evening of fun and frolics.

So get ready because it is all happening at Blessence, Brixton Clubhouse, 469 Brixton Road, SW9 8HH on Saturday 11 August 2012 from 11pm – 4am. Dress code is Retro! Be colourful and creative. Admission: £10

Cash prizes will be offered to winners of the best fancy dress costume and there will be chance to win two free tickets to UK Black Pride.

The seventh UK Black Pride festival will take place on Saturday 18 August from 12 noon until 8:30pm at the Ministry of Sound, London. The event’s theme is ‘Together we’re strong!’ and will repeat the success of previous years where a main stage with live acts will be supported by top DJs in the dance area, alongside licensed bars, a cocktail bar, VIP area, world food, education welfare workshops, community stalls, prizes and more.

UK Black Pride is a not-for-profit community group led by a team of dedicated LGBT volunteers who have helped to deliver an award winning event that won the Pink Paper Readers’ Award for ‘Best Black Minority Ethnic Organisation’ and Stonewall’s Community Award in 2011.
