Pari first starting working with UK Black Pride as part of a dynamic duo with Evelyn Asante-Mensah to support the team’s growth and development. Now joining the board in the shared role of Governance Director, Pari’s role is to ensure that as UK Black Pride goes from strength to strength in its growth, it does so in a way that is sustainable, empowering to all involved and is true to its community led values.
Pari Dhillon is social justice and leadership consultant working with organisations and individuals to create meaningful change. Pari has dedicated her 20 year career to tackling inequality at an individual, institutional and societal level. Pari has previously worked as a teacher, a community development worker, equalities lead in the public sector and most recently as Chief Executive of the LSE Students’ Union and UAL Students’ Union. Now using organisational development approaches, senior coaching and mentoring, and by creating spaces for people to have messy conversations and move past conflict to collectivism, Pari works with organisations including the National Union of Students, Imperial College Union and Stonewall to achieve race equity.
Pari is an Indian lesbian who has two beautiful childrenwith her equally beautiful partner. She speaks Punjabi and English. She is also on the board of Giants Theatre Company.
