This year UK Black Pride boasts its best ever line up of DJs who will be performing at the Ministry of Sound on Saturday 18 August from 12 noon until 8:30pm. See below for the full line and the music styles that will be available for ticket holders to enjoy.
DJ Bee will play buzzing beats from Afro-beats, bashment, chart, dance, drum ’n bass, disco, jungle, rhythm ’n blues, soca, UK funky and mish-mash random.
DJ Big John lives, breathes and eats music. He guarantees to leave no one standing still when he spins the latest tunes on the dancefloor, from bashment, funky house, hip hop to rhythm ’n blues, Big John has it all.
Biggy C has been playing music since he can remember and is much sought after for his music style which includes all genres from popping Afro-beat to the latest bashment, rhythm ’n blues rocks, sweet soul, in fact, whatever you want Biggy C will take your mind, body and soul there!
DJ Chillz is always chilled and relaxed and spins the most wicked Afro-beats, the latest bashment, hip hop and rhythm ’n blues.
DJ Clington loves music to the max. His music style includes disco, electro, deep and urban house music, classic rhythm ’n blues, as well as old and new soul.
DJ Goodaz will have you moving your body in ways you didn’t know where possible. One thing is guaranteed: that you’ll be bustin’ a sweat to bashment tunes, new and old skool.
DJ Missandi mixes garage and jungle with luscious rhythm ’n blues and silky soul. Missandi will deliver gentle, swinging movement into infectious house classics with gangsta’ hip hop blended with rich reggae, swanky salsa and latino beats. The international flavours and mix of tempo will conjure memories of vocal gymnastics and kicks ‘n licks. In Missandi’s own words: “I’ll be spinning a special blend of stylish Motown, camp disco, funk, and a fusion of modern pop assembled with love and devotion to keep the audience in touch with my groove.”
DJ Misty B has selected the best tunes with a style of music that includes Afro-beats, dancehall, funky house, hip hop and rhythm ’n blues.
DJ Nikki Lucas draws from a rich musical tapestry to cross-cultural rhythms of African roots and bhangra, broken beat mash ups, rai ’n chaabi, batucada and tropical scorchers, dubstep rockers, global anthems and Aotearoa licks. Nikki Lucas’s instinctive style has heard her a reputation as among London’s most cutting edge DJs.
DJ Qurra takes listeners on an eclectic journey of the finest urban and Middle Eastern feasts, accompanied by bhangra, Bollywood, desi mash ups and hints of dance. She is a resident DJ at Urban Desi, Liberte and Habibi inLondon.
DJ Re’Kayle is an up and coming young DJ who will captivate you with tune after tune!
DJ Sensi offers a sweet taste of revival reggae hits from the 90′s and dancehall, alongside 80′s and 90′s soul classics to please the crowd.
DJ ShoSho will be playing the best in Afro-beats to get your body moving.
DJ Smoochie has been playing on the British and international club scene for over 15 years. She has gained solid experience of playing to and winning over different crowds with a diverse mix that includes bashment, funky, hip hop and rhythm ’n blues.
