UK Black Pride’s 2022 Community Action Fund

WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY ACTION FUND?

In the summer of 2021, UK Black Pride – Europe’s largest pride celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern descent – launched our inaugural community survey, We Will Be Heard. In line with our mission to ensure the communities UK Black Pride represents are seen, heard and supported, the Community Action Fund is a direct response those findings.

Through the Community Action Fund, UK Black Pride will distribute funding to organisations supporting LGBTQI+ Black people and people of colour across the UK. Based on our survey findings, UK Black Pride has established four thematic areas for the Community Action Fund:

  • spaces, places and visibility;

  • mental and emotional wellbeing;

  • safety in public spaces,

  • and the workplace.

We are excited to receive your applications for funding and have provided more information, including a link to apply, below.
